On Friday, March 29, 2024, Nottoway Elementary School hosted one of its largest joint events of the year: Donuts with Dudes and Field Day. Prior to the start of the school day, students were welcome to bring in their favorite “dudes” to come and enjoy donuts around the table. Immediately following the conclusion of the first event, the cafeteria and gym were converted into running lanes for the annual school field day.  Each grade level participated in a series of events from relay races, egg carries, hula hoop roll, and balloon pop. The fun concluded with a final event courtesy of the Southampton County Sheriff’s Department: Tug of War. The department brought along a massive four strand rope and six outstanding officers for some athleticism and fun. The school would like to thank the over 275 guests who attended and the Southampton County Sheriff’s Department for their continued partnership in fostering positive relationships with our students.
