Two more men identified and arrested in connection with April robbery

On April 4, the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office says a robbery occurred in the 25000 block of Oak Trail apartments and is seeking the public’s assistance with identifying the individuals. According to a media release, deputies made contact with the victim, who advised she had been robbed in the parking lot of the apartment complex by three men. The victim’s purse, credit cards, and cash were stolen. The victim told deputies she was physically assaulted and suffered a minor injury.
The first of the three suspects, Dalveon Ricks, 24, of Franklin, was charged on April 22, according to a media release from the sheriff’s office. Ricks was charged with two counts of abduction: the Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, wearing a mask in a public place with intent to conceal identity, robbery, assault and battery, credit card theft, and grand larceny.
With assistance from the public and other law enforcement agencies, the two individuals have since been identified.
Jayqwon Douglas, 24, of Franklin, was arrested on April 26 on charges of grand larceny, credit card theft, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, abduction, and conspiracy to commit abduction.
Douglas is being held at Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office jail with no bond. Douglas is scheduled to appear in Southampton County General District Court on May 14, 2024, at 1 p.m.
Tyvon Goodrich, 22, of Emporia, was arrested on April 27 and charged with grand larceny, credit card theft, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, abduction, and conspiracy to commit abduction.
