The Camp Community College baseball team’s 2024 run for a national championship came to a close Monday afternoon, May 27, with a 10-2 loss to Dallas-Eastfield at the NJCAA Division III World Series in Auburn, New York.
The Hurricanes, who also earned their way to the World Series in 2023, reached a new height this year as they recorded their first-ever win in the double-elimination national tournament.
Camp opened its play in the 2024 World Series on Saturday, May 25, against Herkimer College. The Hurricanes staged a ninth-inning rally but ultimately lost the game 9-7.
Facing elimination on Sunday, May 26, Camp kept its season alive with its inaugural World Series win, taking down Northern Essex 9-5.
