There is a new restaurant at 1324 Armory Drive in Franklin that is aiming to offer a dining experience specifically for those who appreciate steak and seafood.

Butcher’s Steak & Seafood opened at the location on May 28, and co-owner Rosie Ramos noted that business has been very good thus far.

“We are truly blessed, grateful and thankful for the Franklin community welcoming us with open arms,” she said. “It’s a new journey, new everything, but we’re excited, and we’re thankful, for sure.”

Ramos is co-owner of Butcher’s with her brother-in-law, Walter Chinchilla, and she indicated that being in the restaurant business runs in the family, a fact that has already had a notable impact on Franklin for years.

“(Walter) is the owner of Joe’s Pizza (& Pasta Palace), and then my brother has Three Guys (Italian Restaurant) as well, so it’s always been in the family,” Ramos said. “And we realized there wasn’t really a different kind of dining experience for Franklin as like a steak and seafood kind of thing. We have Mexican, we have Italian, but we were missing that little aspect of the steak and seafood, so we saw the opportunity and were like, ‘I think this could go really well for the community and for us as well,’ and we went for it.”

Alluding to the quality of the steaks available at Butcher’s, Chinchilla emphasized, “Everything every day is fresh.”

“And we also have a menu online if you go on Google,” Ramos said, noting to search there for the restaurant’s name as well. “It’s on there, pictures, and you can see the menu on there.”

The hours for Butcher’s are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. on Mondays-Thursdays and Saturdays; 11 a.m.-10 p.m. on Fridays; and noon-9 p.m. on Sundays.

“We’re just very thankful for the opportunity and grateful as well for how the community has responded to us,” Ramos said.
