The Courtland branch of the Blackwater Regional Library drew the community together recently to kick off the library’s Summer Reading Program with a touch-a-truck event.
“The community came together for an awesome morning for the kids,” library officials stated in a news release.
Participants in the event included the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office, Virginia Department of Transportation, Gray & Sons Construction, Courtland Volunteer Fire Department, Courtland Volunteer Rescue Squad, Blackwater Outreach Services and Kona Ice.
