Forest Ranger Josh Miller recently made a presentation on conservation with help from Smokey Bear during the Summer Reading Program at the Courtland branch of the Blackwater Regional Library.
A library news release noted that during Miller’s presentation, attendees were divided up into groups for the purpose of answering conservation questions to win prizes. Miller also demonstrated how long it takes a fire to go out, read the true story of Smokey Bear and listed Smokey’s five rules.
Smokey Bear also made an appearance.
