The artwork of two long-time participants in the Emmanuel Episcopal Church community, Nancy Stutts and Russell Schools, will be on display at Rawls Museum Arts in Courtland. 

A Thursday, Aug. 8, church news release noted that the exhibit — named “Parallel Journeys” — is currently on display and will formally open 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15, due to a weather postponement.

The chairwoman of the Blackwater Artist’s League, Stutts has been creating artwork for more than 30 years, currently working in oil and cold wax. She taught art at Franklin High School for more than 11 years and has conducted workshops in a myriad of media. Stutts teaches Children’s Chapel at Emmanuel.

Schools also works in oil — creating abstract landscapes. He was a drug abuse counselor in the prison system and currently teaches Bible Study at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, which is located in Franklin. 

Both Stutts and Schools are organically trained.
