FRANKLIN – Mr. Haywood Riddick Sr. peacefully entered eternal rest on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024. A native of Southampton County, Haywood was born Oct. 30, 1938, to the late Andrew and Lula Falcon Riddick.

Haywood leaves behind to cherish and celebrate his life, his children Haywood Riddick Jr., Denise Riddick-Brown, Jeneam Hanshaw, Donald Riddick, Douglas Pope, Reginald Riddick, Ann Beverly Riddick-Baker and Tawanna Smith; a stepson Fabian Joyner and a brother James Riddick; 21 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many caring friends. There will be a wake on Sunday, Sept. 8 from 2 – 7 p.m. at Engram Funeral Home, 1001 Armory Drive in Franklin. A funeral service will be held on Monday, Sept. 9, noon at Scotts Revival Center, 1816 South Street in Franklin. Arrangements are entrusted to Engram Funeral Home.
