Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

FRANKLIN – It is with tear-filled eyes and with the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, that we announce our mother, Jane Thompson Joyner, has entered into the presence of the Lord on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024. We ask that friends and family come to Grace Memorial United Methodist Church in Sedley at 11 a.m

Jane T. Joyner

. on Saturday, Oct. 12 to celebrate her life. The Rev. Debbie Baugham will officiate. Mama has left us with very specific instructions, so if anyone objects, they will have to take it up with her when they meet again!

There will be no visitation and a closed casket service with lots of singing and time for gathering after the service. There will be several scriptures read and we encourage all to bring your Bible as we read some of her favorites. We ask that you bring joy filled hearts because mama is no longer in pain and she fought the good fight. She has finished the race, kept her faith and received her crown of righteousness.

Jane was a tax preparer for H&R Block for over 20 years. She was a member of Grace Memorial United Methodist Church where she was the church pianist.

Jane was predeceased by her husband, Tap; her parents, Virginia and Tommy Thompson and sisters, Rita and Deb.

Left to cherish her memory are three sons, Paul Thomas Joyner, L.V. “Chris” Joyner Jr. (Michelle) and Bryan Lane Joyner; 10 grandchildren, Kristen, Emily, Peyton, Memphis, Christian, Luci and Wyatt Joyner and Travis, Alex and Trae Lindsey; and one great-grandchild, Kacey Canaday.

The family suggests that memorial donations may be made to Tap’s Legacy at Grace Memorial United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
