FRANKLIN – Terry Thomas Vick, 79, passed away Oct. 5, 2024 in Southampton Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in Franklin, he was a son of the late Harry and Hazel Powell Vick. He was also predeceased by his wife, Ida May Vick.

Terry was a 1964 graduate of Franklin High School and a retired millwright in the maintenance department for International Paper Company. He was a longtime volunteer for Franklin Fire and Rescue and a member of the National Reining Horse Association.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Terry “Nancy” Gray (Roy) of Courtland; his son, Joey Vick (Demetra) of New Bern, North Carolina; a sister, Shirley V. Vick of Franklin; two brothers, John Vick (Maria) of Valdosta, Georgia and Dean Vick (Lee) of Morehead City, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Jessica Moore (Kevin), Ida Gray (Mike), Anthony Vick and Paula Adkins (Chris); and four great-grandchildren, Jackson and Bryleigh Moore and Gavin and Fallon Adkins. A fireman’s service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18 in Wright Funeral Home with Chief Vince Holt and Captain Tim Dunn officiating. Burial will be at Southampton Memorial Park. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Franklin Fire and Rescue.
