Alanna Boone, a former valedictorian and JROTC cadet at Franklin High School, has continued her impressive journey by successfully completing United States Army Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.

Following her graduation, Boone traveled to Fort Eisenhower, Georgia, to pursue a 20-week Advanced Individual Training (AIT) program.

As a signal support system specialist (MOS 25U), Boone is honing her skills in communication and information technology, a vital role within the Army. Her dedication to her military career is evident in her decision to defer college admission to focus on her training.

Boone’s academic accomplishments are equally impressive. In addition to graduating with honors from Franklin High School, she also earned two associate degrees, one from Tidewater Community College and another from Camp Community College. Her commitment to education and her military service highlights her exceptional drive and determination.

As Boone prepares to transition to Hampton University after completing her military training, her future is undoubtedly bright. Her achievements serve as an inspiration to her peers and community, demonstrating the potential for success in both civilian and military careers.
