The annual Downtown Franklin Boo Bash is offering a variety of family oriented activities aligned with the season that aim to bring community members together Thursday, Oct. 24, starting with trick-or-treating at local businesses.

“On behalf of the city of Franklin, we’re thrilled to invite you to this year’s Franklin Boo Bash,” Franklin Director of Tourism A’Risha Jones said in a direct appeal to readers. “It’s the perfect family friendly event to get into the Halloween spirit, with fun activities. Whether you’re young or young at heart, there’s something for everyone.”

She noted that all ages are welcome to participate in the free event, which begins at 5 p.m. with the Downtown Trick-or-Treat. Participants in this activity may begin on South Main Street and work their way up North Main Street.

“We will also have other Franklin businesses set up at the Farmer’s Market Pavilion,” Jones said.

The Market Pavilion is located at 210 S. Main St.

The Downtown Trick-or-Treat will conclude at 6 p.m., at which time pumpkin painting will begin at the pavilion.

Pumpkins and painting supplies will be provided by the Franklin Department of Parks and Recreation, while supplies last.

There will also be face painting offered courtesy of Face Painting by Allison in Wonderland.

“Come join us for a spooky good time and make unforgettable memories with your friends, neighbors and fellow Franklin residents,” Jones said. “We can’t wait to see you there.”
