Millfield Road crash sends three to hospital

A single-vehicle crash occurred Friday afternoon, Nov. 1, in Southampton County, sending three individuals, including two juveniles, to the hospital with injuries.
A Friday evening Southampton County Sheriff’s Office news release stated that on Nov. 1 at about 4:51 p.m., deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash on Millfield Road.
The crash was caused when the vehicle left the roadway and overturned, SCSO officials stated, noting that one adult and two juveniles were in the vehicle.
“One patient was transported by helicopter and two patients were transported by ambulance,” SCSO Maj. Camden Cobb stated. “I do not have specific information on injuries at this time. I do not have specific info on if the adult or one of the juveniles was flown out at this time.”
The release noted that there are no charges pending as a result of the crash. All occupants were believed to be wearing their seat belts.
Southampton deputies investigated the crash, the release stated. Courtland Rescue, Ivor Volunteer Fire Department and Windsor Volunteer Fire Department all responded to assist with this crash.
