FRANKLIN – Lloyd E. “Bud” Brotzman Jr. died peacefully at the age of 89 on Nov. 19, 2024. He was predeceased by his parents, Lloyd and Edith Brotzman. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ann Marie; his three sons, William Craig (Karen) of Richmond, Virginia, Brian E. (Teresa) of Plano, Texas and R. Keith of Chesapeake, Virginia; his four grandchildren, Chris and Erica (Adam) of Richmond, Brandon (Amanda) of Tomball, Texas and Ashley of Plano, Texas; and his two great-grandchildren Casen and Collier of Tomball, Texas. He is also survived by his sister, Jessie O’Brien of Maryland.
Bud was born in New York and grew up in t
he Washington, D.C. area. He attended the University of Richmond and graduated with a business degree. He served in the Army at Ft. Bliss, Texas for two years. Following his retirement from the service he accepted a sales position with Union Camp Corporation in Franklin, Virginia. He held that position for 45 years where he met many clients, making numerous friends and acquaintances. Among his many enjoyments was golfing, traveling, coaching little league baseball, basketball and football. After retiring from UCC he continued to enjoy golfing, traveling and visiting with family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024 at Franklin Presbyterian Church, 405 Lee Street in Franklin. Burial will be private. A reception will be held afterwards at Two Sisters, 205 S. Main Street in Franklin.
