She noted that at Meherrin Elementary, the division is seeking a general education paraprofessional.

NOTTOWAY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

At Nottoway Elementary, Hutcheson and her staff are seeking a cafeteria line worker.

Board Member Brandon Rodgers said, “Were we able to fill the special education teacher vacancy at Nottoway internally, or did I just miss that we had a vacancy there?”

Hutcheson said, “We did. That position has been filled.”

“Great,” Rodgers said. “Thank you.”

RIVERDALE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

The division is seeking an early childhood special education teacher and a paraprofessional at Riverdale Elementary, Hutcheson said.

CENTRAL OFFICE

Hutcheson also noted that the division is seeking a mechanic at its central office.

Board Member Dr. Jennifer Tindle asked if SCPS Superintendent Gwendolyn P. Shannon could speak to the superintendent position listed online.

Shannon said, “I didn’t realize we had posted it already, but we are advertising for an assistant superintendent for our school division. The position is much needed to the level of work that is required, and we’re advertising, and we’re looking for the best candidate.”
