Boykins festivities yield award-winners

The first full weekend of December was full of festivities in the town of Boykins, with the GFWC Tarrara Woman’s Club’s annual home-decorating contest on Saturday, Dec. 7, and the Boykins Christmas Parade on Sunday, Dec. 8.

The woman’s club judged the contest and selected winners, and the club also judged the floats in the parade, selecting winners and awarding them ribbons.

The winners of the home-decorating contest were as follows:

MOST APPEALING TO CHILDREN

  • 1st place: David and Penny Clow
  • 2nd place: Mario Elias

MOST TRADITIONAL

  • 1st place: Dot Lassiter
  • 2nd place: Margaret Wilson Murray
