On Dec. 31, 2024, Winfred R Ralph Jr. also known as the “Pepsi Man” officially retired from Pepsi Bottling Group (PBG) after 43 years and 4 months. Ralph delivered soft drinks, water, and many other beverages to local grocery and convenience stores in the Franklin/Southampton County area for many years until his route changed to the Smithfield area. Ralph, who also delivers papers for The Tidewater News, will continue to deliver papers, which he truly enjoys.
