The Southampton County Sheriff’s Office reported that a school bus crash occurred Monday morning, Feb. 3, on Delaware Road that led to four students going to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

An SCSO news release stated that the sheriff’s office received a call at 6:45 a.m. for a school bus crash in the 25000 block of Delaware Road. 

“The Southampton County Public School bus was transporting students when the crash occurred,” SCSO officials stated. “The school bus swerved to avoid an object in the road and the rear of the bus crashed into a light pole.”

The release noted that four students were transported to the hospital by EMS personnel with non-life-threatening injuries. There were no other vehicles involved in the crash. 

SCSO officials stated that there are no charges pending in reference to the crash.
