FRANKLIN—A Courtland heating, air conditioning and ventilation contractor has relocated from Courtland to near Franklin.

Tim Parrish, owner of Air Mechanix, recently purchased the former Taylor Parker building at 1550 Carrsville Highway across from Franklin Municipal Airport and next to Commercial Ready Mix. Air Mechanix spent $60,000 to renovate the building, which was most recently rented by International Paper for storage.

“We were outgrowing the building (on Ivor Road in Courtland) and increasing our (service) area,” Parrish said. “We do a lot of work in Southampton County and we are now in Isle of Wight County doing more work and closer to Franklin.”

Parrish opened Air Mechanix 19 years ago and has been working in heating and air-conditioning for 30 years. He employs five.

The company can be reached at 569-0000.
