SUFFOLK—Dorothy Faye Owens Womack, 85, of Suffolk died Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Lake Prince Woods in Suffolk.

A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, March 10, in the Portsmouth Center at Lake Prince Woods. Burial will be private in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Womack was a homemaker and the author of “Keep in Touch, The Balser and Catherine Lybrook Family,” a book that recollects her Colonial pioneer ancestors in southwest Virginia.

Among her survivors is a daughter, Susan Womack Powell of Franklin.
