SA baseball loses 2-1 to Brunswick Academy

COURTLAND—The Southampton Academy baseball team lost 2-1 to Brunswick Academy Tuesday.
Raider Jacob Holland allowed three hits in five innings. Raider Tristen Holland pitched two innings of no-hit ball.
The game was scoreless until the fifth inning when Brunswick scored two runs.
The Raiders came back in the sixth inning with a leadoff single by Matt Nixon followed by a single by Carson Camp and a walk by Wesley Barnes that loaded the bases.
Holland hit into a double play during the next at-bat. Nixon scored to cut the lead to 2-1.
SA played Fuqua School Thursdayin Farmville. Results were not available as of press time.
