William D. Vassar

WINDSOR—William Dudley “Bill” Vassar Jr., 86, died Sept. 30, 2010.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4, at Southampton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Wright Funeral Home and other times at the home of Tammy Garrett, 305 Hidden Acres Circle, Windsor.

Mr. Vassar was a native of Southampton County.

Survivors include two daughters, Judy V. Hedgepeth of Zuni and Billie F. Stidham of Chesapeake; a sister, Phyllis Council of Zuni; and a brother, Edward Lawrence Vasser of Franklin.

Wright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
