FRANKLIN—Jessie Robert Ellis Jr. went to be with our Lord on Oct, 8, 2010.

He was a resident of East Pavilion.

Born in Southampton County, Va., on Oct. 30, 1924, he was a retired bulldozer operator.

He was a member of Mill Field Baptist Church.

He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Essie Bradshaw Elli.

He is survived by four daughters, Helen Ellis Carr, Mary Ellis Parker, Patricia Ellis Davis and Sheila Ellis Ward; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Rosemont Cemetery in Sedley, Va.
