To the Editor:

Randy Forbes and Chuck Smith stand for principles above politics.

Yes, principles can still be found in the political arena, and now is our opportunity to champion them.

I am writing in full support of both Randy Forbes in the 4th District and Chuck Smith in the 3rd District for Congress.

Born on the Fourth of July, Chuck Smith has always stood with the founding principles of this country. As a former Marine and Navy Jag officer, Chuck knows how sacred these principles are. From the training grounds of Parris Island to the courtrooms of Virginia, Chuck Smith has been a relentless defender of American values.

Let’s send Mr. Smith to Washington to fight for our conservative principles of lower taxes, moral values and the founders’ vision of smaller government.

Randy Forbes has and will continue to represent our conservative values in Washington. He is one of only 17 members of Congress who has voted against every deficit spending bill.

As founder and chairman of the Congressional Prayer Caucus, he led the fight to restore our national motto, “In God We Trust,” in the Capitol Visitors Center.

Randy has fully supported the Republican leadership’s YouCut program, which enables every American to be heard in Washington.

Chuck Smith and Randy Forbes have not only stood the test of time but have shown their commitment to live for principles above politics. Let’s show our commitment to these same values on Nov. 2.
