COURTLAND—The Franklin Mustangs defeated the Windsor Knights Thursday night 20-0 to remain undefeated after three games in little league football.

They “took to the field flat and got a quick wake-up call by a good Windsor team,” Mustang Coach Rob Carter said about his team.

The Mustangs were once again led by tailback Javonte Baker, who scored three touchdowns and ran for 140 yards.

Carter praised quarterbacks Duncan Trotter and Clayton Turner, who both played a sound game.

“Trotter threw the ball well, and Turner scored an extra point,” Carter said.

The Mustang defense was led by Daniel and Shane Agunzo, Petrell Hunt, Stephen Pullen and Carlton Kearney.

Franklin next week will play the undefeated Holland Razorbacks, who have not let an opponent score against them this season.

“They are very well coached, very big and attack the football,” Carter said. “I just hope we can give them a contest.”

In the other games from Thursday, Boykins B-team played the Courtland Indian B-team and the older Bulldog team defeated the older Indian squad.

Games return to Armory Field on Thursday, Oct. 28, starting at 6:15 p.m. with the B-team contest between Boykins and Franklin. A-team action starts at 7 with Windsor facing Courtland, and at 8, the Holland Razorbacks square off with the Franklin Mustangs.
