SUFFOLK—Espert Mae Myrick Williams, 82, of Suffolk died Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the Nansemond Point Rehabilitation Center.

A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at East End Baptist Church, 523 E. Washington St., Suffolk.

A native of Como, N.C., Mrs. Williams six weeks ago lost her husband of 54 years, Herman “Buddy” Williams Jr.

She is survived by a son, retired Col. Herman “Tracy” Williams III; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Harris, and brother-in-law, Wilbert Williams Sr., both of Courtland.

She was a nurse at the former Raiford Hospital and Southampton Memorial Hospital, both in Franklin.

Engram Funeral Home, Franklin, is handling arrangements.
