Webb leads TA baseball to victory

WAKEFIELD—Tidewater Academy pitcher Michael Webb struck out nine and gave up three hits to help lead the Warriors to a 4-1 Virginia Commonwealth Conference victory over Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot on Tuesday.
Webb also went 3-for-4 with two doubles. Daniel McKenney went 3-for-4 and Peyton Holdsworth went 2-for-3 with two doubles.
“We got fine pitching and fine defense,” said Coach Paul Rogers. “The kids just played a fine ballgame.”
The Warriors improved to 9-4 and 3-4 in the conference.
TA traveled to Alliance Christian in Portsmouth on Thursday. Results were not available as of press time.
