FRANKLIN—Franklin City Public Schools is looking for a new finance supervisor to replace Debbie Smith, who has been reassigned to payroll specialist.
The job pays between $37,800, and $65,400, depending on their credentials.
School Superintendent Dr. Michelle Belle said Tuesday the finance supervisor would be in charge of managing the overall fiscal responsibilities for the division.
“They will naturally deal with the day-to-day operations,” Belle said. “They will also oversee the payroll, accounts payable and federal spending, and they will also be very instrumental in the development and management of the overall budget.”
The division’s operating budget for 2010-2011 totals more than $14.3 million.
Asked how the candidate search process has gone so far, Belle said, “It’s been very minimal. The ad just went out there, so it will probably be awhile. There are so many places looking for finance people, it’s unreal in this business. We just hope to get somebody. As soon as we can get a good candidate, we are willing and ready to take them in.”
