To the Editor:

I would like to take a moment of your time to say a resounding “thank you” to the Windsor Volunteer Fire Department.

A few weeks ago a large brush fire broke out on the property surrounding my home, and words cannot express the admiration and gratitude I have for the many volunteers who responded. Within minutes of the fire being noticed, there were multiple trucks that had responded. The firefighters exhibited the utmost professionalism in their job and went above and beyond to save and protect my home.

I would like to thank all of the fire departments and deputies that responded and am grateful to live in such a community that my neighbors are willing to give so much of themselves to keep the rest of us safe. Kudos to the Windsor firefighters and thank you to each of you for your willingness to put in the hours of training to be prepared to handle any emergency and do so with such grace and professionalism.
