COURTLAND—The Southampton Lady Indians overcame a first-inning, 4-0 deficit to defeat Park View 10-7 and capture the Southside District title on Tuesday.

“This is great,” said SHS Coach Susan Melbye. “I am so happy for our girls, our program and our school.”

The home win puts the Lady Indians at 15-1. They will host Brunswick at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, and travel to Prince Edward for a 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 24, game.

There is no district tournament.

The Lady Indians will host the first round of the regional play offs; opponent, date and time will be announced.
