CHARLES CITY—Windsor’s Jordan Jones was a triple winner and Emily Lonsdale, a double winner, to lead the Lady Dukes to Tuesday’s Tri-Rivers District Track Championships.

Londsdale won the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs and Jones, the high and triple jumps, and shot put.

The Windsor boys, who also took the district title, were were led by individual winners Josh Littleton in the 3,200-meter run, Josh Edwards in the long jump, Malcolm Greene in the long jump. Essedric Shearin in the shot put and the 4×400-meter relay team of R.J. Edwards, Azjmere Mitchell, Josh Edwards and Caleb Dundlow

Also taking first for the Lady Dukes was Ciara Clark in the 100-meter hurdles, whose time of 17.29 qualified her for the state meet.

Also qualifying were Josh Edwards in the high jump with a leap of 6-foot-2, and the 400- and 1600-meter boys’ relay teams.

Windsor girls scored 222 points followed by Sussex Central 79.5, Charles City 66.5, Surry 32, Franklin 19, and Chesterfield 9.

The Windsor boys scored 162 points followed by Sussex Central 119, Franklin 76, Charles City 68 and Surry 21.

The following qualified for the Region A meet on Thursday, May 24, at West Point High School.
