Franklin relay team takes fourth at state meet

RADFORD—The Franklin High School boys’ 4X100 relay team finished fourth out of 20 teams in the Virginia Group A State Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Radford University on Saturday.Travis Brown, Latrell Lane, Reshard Sumblin and Marcus Stephens clocked a 43.68 to earn state medals.
Windsor’s Vonquesa Turner placed sixth in the 100-meter dash in 12.89 and seventh in the 200-meter dash in 26.58 to receive medals.
The Franklin boys placed 32nd out of 38 teams and the Windsor girls finished 24th out of 36 teams.
