Capron girl on mission trip in Honduras

Emmalee Shelly, daughter of Steven and Maureen Shelly of Capron, was accepted to participate in a Medical Mission in Honduras through the Armor of Hope Program.
She left July 3 and will serve until July 17.
Emmalee will be a senior at Southampton High School and is a member of the National Honor Society.
Working as part of a team, Emmalee will help provide medical care to the poor in the village of El Sauce. She will learn to take blood pressures, dress wounds and health challenges of the village, including malnutrition and starvation.
Emmalee is a member of the Suffolk Church of Christ and is a preschool teacher for the 2- and 3-year-old class there.
