Supervisor right to oppose James River Bridge tolls

To the Editor:
At the last Isle of Wight Board of Supervisors meeting, I heard Supervisor Stan Clark talk about his opposition to tolls on the James River Bridge.
Mr. Clark is correct to oppose these, and he is right about the adverse effect tolls on the James River Bridge will have on Isle of Wight commuters and businesses.
While Mr. Clark works through the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission, we need to send letters to our state senators and delegates opposing tolls.
The Isle of Wight Board of Supervisors and each town council should adopt resolutions in opposition to the James River Bridge toll, and we should call Supervisor Clark to encourage him in his efforts on our behalf.
