FRANKLIN—Larry Fogan Sr., 58, of the 300 block of Taft Avenue was called home to be with the Lord on July 23 while at Sentara Obici Hospital of Suffolk, Va.

He was born December 27, 1953, in Southampton County to the late Carrie Lee Pope and Eugene Willie Fogan.

After graduating from Franklin High School, he soon married his high school sweetheart, Nathelia Fogan, on September 10, 1973.

He later went on to work at Union Camp (currently International Paper) for over 35 years.

He was the founder and pastor of Shekinah Family Worship Center from July of 2000 until he was called home to rest. His last sermon was from Matthew 5:7, Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy.

He left to live out his legacy his loving wife, Nathelia Fogan; daughter, Pauline Manning (Winfred); two sons, Larry Fogan Jr. (Sa’Vora) and Shelton Fogan (Joyce); nine grandchildren; three sisters; and three brothers.

A homegoing service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Apostolic Faith Church of God, 608 Oak St., Franklin, Va., by Pastor Raphael Elliott. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.

Vaughan Funeral Services will be assisting the family.
