Dawn and James Holland Jr. of Courtland and Michelle and Brett Carter Sr. of Suffolk announce the engagement of their daughter, Alison Carter, to Nathan Frazee.

A 2003 graduate of Franklin High School, the bride-to-be received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in historic preservation from the University of Mary Washington in 2007 and University of Kentucky in 2009, respectively.

The groom is the son of Michele and Tony Robinson of Wilder, Vt., and Cindy and Russell Frazee of Fairlee, Vt.

Nate is a 2003 graduate of Hartford High School in Hartford, Vt., and earned a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Kentucky in 2011. He expects to graduate in 2013 from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst with a master’s degree in landscape architecture and regional planning.

The wedding will be held in December 2012 in the chapel at Franklin Baptist Church.
