Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Joseph Perry III recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary.

The former Kelly Allen Hobbs is the daughter of Charles and Harriette Harcum Hobbs of Chevy Chase, Md. Harriette Hobbs grew up in Franklin.

Her husband is the son of Kathleen Conlin of Rio Rancho, N.M., and the late Mr. Lawrence Joseph Perry Jr.

They were married at the Chevy Chase Club in Chevy Chase on July 23, 2011, by the Rev. Eleanor Harrison Bregman, a high school classmate of the bride.

The bride’s gown, first worn by her sister, Holly Hobbs Rowe, was made by Candlelight Dupioni, silk designed in the Edwardian fashion to highlight an antique French bridal pocket from the same era. The 150-year-old silk was trimmed with alencon lace. The gown and veil, a French mantille, were accentuated with French lace bearing the fleur-de-lis of France.

Courtney Hobbs Burnes, the bride’s sister, was matron of honor.

Meaghan Alexander Burnes, the bride’s niece, was junior bridesmaid.

Christopher Albert Perry, the groom’s cousin, was best man and the best girls were Madison Marie Perry and Kennedy Ashton Perry, the groom’s daughters.

Groomsmen were Christopher Edward Burnes, Robert Keith Rowe, Curtis Paul Wentz and Julian Sheets Winstead.

Flower girls were Lauryn Elizabeth Hobbs Burnes, Victoria Ann Noon, Sophia Louise Noon and Caroline Allyson Harcum Rowe.

Ring bearers were Edwin Joseph Charles Noon and Charles Mitchell Harcum Rowe.

Terence Michael Noon attended the guest book, and programs were given out by Timothy Harcum Burnes, Amy Ward Castillo, and Samira Diane Farmer.

Readers were Christine Faye Gladden, Mary Eileen Miller, Ann Hobbs Noon, Holly Hobbs Rowe and Kathleen Bridgit Wentz.

David Murray Klemm sang “The Wedding Song” by Paul Stookey, “This Is My Father’s World” by Fernando Ortega and “Go Light Your Candle” by Chris Rice.

He was accompanied by pianist Lynn Marie Rechtel.

A reception followed at the Chevy Chase Club.

The new Mrs. Perry, an alumna of The Madeira School, earned a bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College and a master’s degree in education for at-risk youth from the College of Santa Fe.

She is an elementary school teacher in the Cherry Creek School District in Colorado.

Her husband graduated from the University of Phoenix with a master’s in business administration and is employed by Surepoint Consulting in Denver.

The couple resides in Denver.
