FRANKLIN—Southampton/Franklin Habitat for Humanity is looking for someone to buy its home at 502 S. High St. in Franklin.

The Cape Cod home will be renovated.

Those interested must get a Virginia Housing Development Authority loan, have a credit score of at least 620, and have not owned a home in at least three years. Applicants must be residents of either Southampton County or Franklin.

The 1625-square-foot, two-story home includes three bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, utility, dining room, living room, sunroom, attic, a fenced-in backyard and detached garage.

Applications may be picked up at the Habitat Restore located at 109 W. First Ave. in Franklin from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Information also will be available at the Habitat booth at the Franklin-Southampton County Fair Thursday, Aug. 9, through Friday, Aug. 11.

This project is part of a Neighborhood Stabilization Program grant received through Virginia Habitat for Franklin. The grant funds refurbishing homes.

The application deadline is Aug. 31 and can be turned in at the Restore, or mailed to Southampton/Franklin Habitat for Humanity, P.O. Box 891, Franklin, Va., 23851.
