ELEMENTARY BASKETBALL LEAGUE

The Terps (8-0) remained undefeated with a 21-7 win over the Spartans (1-7) on Feb. 16.

Shaman Wilkerson had 7 points to lead the Terps, followed by Dajon Frazier and Carlos Whitehead with 4 points. Miari Reid, De’Mar Handshaw and Deunte Jefferson added 2 points each. Markeen Tyler scored all 7 points for the Spartans.

The second-place Tar Heels (6-2) beat the Blue Devils (1-7) 22-9 with Edward Bynum and KeShawn Brown scoring 6 points apiece, and Shaquille Joyner, Shantrell McNear and Ricky Evans adding 2 points each. Kobe Lawson scored all 9 points for the Blue Devils.

The Rams (5-3) beat the Wolverines (3-5) 11-8 with Dale Vick leading the way with 5 points, and Tawrence Wiggins scoring 4 points. Rickaya Sykes adding 2 points.

Drelyn Ford had 6 points for the Wolverines, and Monte Barrett added 2 points.

JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL LEAGUE

In the eight week, the Wolfpack (7-0) remained undefeated by beating the Hurricanes (3-5) 26-24 on Thursday. Quiysahan Jefferson led the Wolfpack with 17 points, followed by JaQuan Myrick with 4 points; Brandon Palmer and Jaylen Lawson had 2 points apiece.

Masco Barrett had 15 points to lead the Hurricanes with Larry Blow following with 4 points, and Jawan Walton and Carlos Whitehead adding 2 points each.

The Blue Devils (4-4) remained in second place with a 22-4 win over the Tigers (1-7). Michael Tyler had 10 points to lead the Blue Devils followed by Dedrick Boone with 8 points; Darius Bell and Ty’Dre Barnes had 2 points each.

Edward Bynum and Carlton Kearney had 2 points apiece for the Tigers.

HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL LEAGUE

The Pacers (6-1) and the Thunder (6-1) posted forfeit wins on Feb. 14 over the Bulls and Celtics.

MEN’S BASKETBALL LEAGUE

Top-seeded NC Fire (7-1) knocked off the Wildcats (3-5) 93-66.

The Fire had five players in double figures led by Termaine Totten and Donnie Rodgers with 22 points each, and Antonio Linzy with 12 points; DeShawn Outlaw and Terrance Jenkins adding 11 and 10 points.

The Wildcats’ Valdez Artis led all scorers with 24 points followed by Jamal Jordan with 13 points.

On Thursday, LDB Crew (6-2) remained in second place by beating Walton (0-8) 79-60. The Crew was led by James Holemon with 18 points, Jerell Britt and Leonard Burnell with 16 points, and Kenny Kindred with 11 points.

Mario Hunter tied a season-high 33 points for Walton.

The third-place Rockets (5-3) beat Blackout (3-5) 58-49 behind Jaleel Nelson’s 21 points. Carlos Lawrence led Blackout with 17 points, followed by Jesse Walter with 14 points.
