WAKEFIELD—Walter Harold Searcy, 87, died March 3, 2011, at Obici Hospital.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Mr. Searcy was a Navy veteran of World War II, a graduate of North Carolina State University and a retired forest manager for Union Camp Corp.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Stubblefield Searcy; daughters Becky S. Duke of Prince George and Susan S. Repp of Mexico City; son Keith Searcy of Franklin; and sisters Nancy and Mary Searcy, Lena Brooks, Alice Ledford and Edith Worsham.

Wright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
