CHESAPEAKE—A Zuni woman was charged with drunken driving after she hit a Virginia State Police cruiser head-on at 1:25 a.m. Wednesday in Chesapeake, said state police Sgt. Michelle Anaya.
Sgt. V. Smith was parked in a work zone on the Gilmerton Bridge with his emergency lights on when Billinda Colonna, 24, of the 35000 block
of Seacock Chapel Road hit his cruiser with the 1998 Grand Cherokee she was driving, Anaya said.
Smith was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Colonna was not hurt.
