CHRISTCHURCH—The Tidewater Academy volleyball team lost its first game of the season, being swept by Christchurch 13-25, 14-25 and 23-25.
The Lady Warriors didn’t execute the basics, like properly returning and receiving serves from the strong serving Lady Seahorses, and couldn’t overcome it, said TA Coach Jimmy Dunn.
“We didn’t play our best game,” Dunn said. “We didn’t come out as strong as we had hoped.”
The loss drops TA to 4-1.
They host Fuqua at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13.
