FRANKLIN—Franklin police on Monday arrested a Chesapeake man wanted for a rape and robbery parole violation in Norfolk.
Norfolk police at 9:45 a.m. told Franklin police that Randall Lee Watson, 27, was at an apartment in the 600 block of Cameron Street, said Lt. Tim Whitt.
“They told us the man was dangerous and more than like going to run,” Whitt said.
Police knew there were children in the apartment and waited in the neighborhood for Watson to leave.
“He got into a car with some other people and followed and surrounded him,” Whitt said.
Watson was arrested without incident and taken to Western Tidewater Jail in Suffolk.
No one else was charged.
