SA JV team remains undefeated

COURTLAND—The Southampton Academy junior varsity boys stayed undefeated in Virginia Commonwealth Conference play Monday as the Raiders beat a strong Brunswick Academy team 7-2.
Michael Webb got the win for the Raiders, pitching a complete game. Backed by solid defense, Webb scattered five hits and struck out eight as the Raider defense only allowed one error.
Charles Belmonte provided most of the offensive power for the Vikings, hitting the ball solid and scoring their only two runs.
Raiders Nate Williams, Andrew Lowe, Webb and Ethan Edwards had two hits each. Edwards scored two of the Raiders’ runs.
