COURTLAND—A rocket off the left foot of Southampton Academy’s forward Cody Barksdale led to a 1-1 soccer tie with Blessed Sacrament Huguenot Thursday.

The Raiders had a number of opportunities to put the game away but continued to struggle finishing shots, said coach Jamie Weist.

The next match will be in Courtland on Monday, May 2, against Kenston Forest at 5 p.m. The junior varsity team plays Rock Church at 3:30.
