CARRSVILLE—The drivers hurt in a Tuesday crash on Walters Highway have been identified as Henry Morris, 70, of Suffolk and Lisa Necessary, 27, of Burdette Road, Carrsville.

Necessary as of Thursday remained at Southampton Memorial Hospital in Franklin, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Morris at 1:40 p.m. drove his pickup from Joyners Bridge Road into the path of a car driven by Necessary on Walters Highway, the Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Morris was charged with reckless driving, the sheriff’s office reported.

Both were taken to the hospital.
