COURTLAND—Mary Nell Johnson Turner, 82, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at East Pavilion in Franklin, Va.

She was a native of Southampton County, a daughter of the late Emmett and Rushie Ritter Johnson, and was predeceased by her first husband, Claiborne Babb; a sister, Carolyn Sweeney; and a brother, Emmett Johnson.

She was a former employee of Union Camp Corporation and a former member of the Franklin Woman’s Club.

She is survived by her husband, H. M. (Minnie) Turner; two daughters, Vicki B. Huggins and husband, Graham. of Melbourne, Australia. and Cindy B. Lynskey and husband, Brian, of Orange Park, Fla.; one sister, Janet J. Cannan of Houston, Texas; one sister-in-law, Betty Johnson, of Jacksonville, Fla.; three grandchildren, Amy Wilkinson, Katie O’Brien and Emily Lynskey; one great-grandchild, Evelyn O’Brien; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at Southampton Memorial Park conducted by the Rev. Brandon Robbins.
