Wind gusts up to 43 mph for Sunday night

WAKEFIELD—The updated Hurricane Sandy forecast for Western Tidewater calls for a 90 percent chance of rain Sunday night with a northwest wind around 22 mph and gusts as high as 43 mph.

One-half to three-quarters of an inch of rain are expected.

Monday calls for a 70 percent chance of rain with a northwest wind of 23 to 29 mph and gusts as high as 45 mph. Another quarter to one-half inch of rain is expected.

Monday night rain is likely with a southwest wind of 22 to 24 mph and gusts as high as 37 mph. A quarter and half-inch of rain is possible.
