COURTLAND—The Hunt Family, Franklin-Southampton Concert Association’s last concert of the season, will be presented at Southampton High School at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 7.

“This is one concert our members will not want to miss,” said Association President Nancy Rowe.

The nine-member Virginia family of world-ranked top step dancers and champion fiddlers will perform a program of original Celtic, bluegrass, inspirational and popular tunes.

“They are so much in demand, we were very fortunate to get them,” Rowe said. “They’ve performed to full houses throughout the country.”

Now appearing at festivals, theaters, workshops and schools across the nation, the family made its national television debut on the Tony Danza Show. The family performed for three seasons at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg and at Virginia’s Royal Welcoming for Queen Elizabeth in Richmond.

The family has completed four U.S. tours, was featured at General Motors’ 100th year celebration and has made multiple appearances at World Championships for Irish Dance in Ireland, Scotland and Philadelphia.

“We hope our members will come out and support this group,” Rowe said. “They’re sure to delight everyone in the audience, both young and old.”

Tickets at the door are $30 for adults and $10 for students.
