Anyone wishing to participate should contact Committee Chairwoman Sandra Vick at 859-6789.

There will be several floats including from Ivor Baptist Church and the Ivor Ladies Auxiliary.

Following the parade, a free Brunswick stew dinner will be held at the municipal building. The Ivor Ladies Auxiliary will serve the meal; donations will be accepted.

Blackwater Tradition, the Nottoway Elementary School Chorus led by Lynn Varian and others will entertain.

The lighting of the Cody Stallard Memorial Christmas Tree in front of the building will be held at 6:30.

“This is a very festive occasion for our town,” said Vick, who is Ivor’s mayor. “It is a time for the entire community to get together for fellowship, to make new friends and visit with old ones.

Ivor is known by its residents as the “Village of Candlelight.” Vick urges everyone to place at least one candle in a window for the holiday season.
